NOTES: 

1. Mike has stated several times now that he will tell the truth. If he's telling the truth, who is he reminding of that? Himself?

2. Of course Mike's attorney was going to look for anything and everything to pin something on Raye Dawn. That's what he was paid to do!

3. Sarah is Raye Dawn's cousin. She testified FOR Raye Dawn at her trial.

4. Again, pedophiles are great with kids and most seem completely trustworthy.

5. Is Kelsey the reason Mike married Raye Dawn? Doesn't it make sense that once Kelsey came back into their lives and Mike had what he wanted he could then distance himself from his wife? He told Raye Dawn in the last week they were together before Kelsey died, "I hate you sometimes."

6. Donna Gilbreth testified against Raye Dawn at her trial. Her family has since apologized to Raye Dawn and her family for what she said. If Donna knew anything about the "story" Mike was trying to concoct about Kelsey's legs, she would have been questioned about it further at Raye Dawn's trial. This was her testimony:

Donna Gilbreath is currently a supervisor at Lewis Manufacturing in Meeker, OK and was Raye Dawn’s supervisor when she was employed at Lewis.

At Lewis we make utility belts and safety harnesses for oil field workers. Raye Dawn braided grips and would come over to my work station for more work several times a day.

One day she came over and I noticed she had a new engagement ring on her hand. We started talking about her new ring. She told us she was engaged to Michael Porter. I asked her how Kelsey felt abut getting a new daddy. She told me Kelsey didn’t like Mike. I asked her why? And she said because she says Mike is mean to her. What do you mean he’s mean to her? He makes her mind. I told her she’s a baby and that you have to listen to her. Kids do not lie. You are the sole protector of Kelsey, if you don’t protect her, who will?
But you did not give up trying to talk to Raye Dawn? I asked her about three times what “mean” means, and after the third time she started avoiding me.
Did she seem concerned about what you were saying to her? No, she just didn’t act like she was enthused. We were trying to get her to check into this. We thought we could talk to her because she’s Mildred Fowler’s granddaughter.
So she was not very concerned? She just kind of flubbed it off cause we were nosing into her business.
You mentioned Raye Dawn thought Kelsey was jealous of Mike? She told me Kelsey would get jealous when she and Mike would kiss and hug on each other. She told me Little Miss attitude she’s really been acting up since me and Mike got together.
Was Raye Dawn working there when Kelsey died? No.
But you saw her the next day? Yes, she came in with another girl who worked with us, Sarah Winters and into the office and talked to Rita Ballard.
What did you think when you saw her? I was just kind of shocked, I did a double take.
What was she like? I didn’t see her crying. When she came out I went to lunch.
Did she appear upset? Not for someone who just lost a baby. Was it odd? Yes.

So in January you became aware the Meeker Police Department was investigating Raye Dawn for abuse? Yes, one day she came over and snatched the grips out of my hand and I asked her if something was wrong. She said, that bitch has accused me of child abuse.
And who did you think she was talking about? I thought about it and realized she was talking about Kathie Briggs.
What else did she tell you? She said Carl Leabo had been up to her apartment and because Kelsey had some marks and someone had accused her of using a brush on her.
I asked her, did you do it? She said Kelsey kept climbing up and she told her to stop and when she wouldn’t she swatted her with a hairbrush, but she had a diaper on.
You made a statement to OSBI? Yes.
Did you tell them about the brush? I thought I did but I might have forgotten it.

Cross Examination
You believe Raye Dawn was a good mother? For awhile I did.
Raye Dawn loved Kelsey? Yes.
Did you get on that website, Kelsey’s purpose? No, I don’t have a computer.
Never? No, I don’t even know how to work a computer.
Two months after Kelsey’s death on December 22nd 2005 OSBI came to talk to you? Yes.
They were investigating the murder of Kelsey? Yes.
That’s pretty serious? Murder? Yes.
You told the OSBI that you would tease Raye Dawn, about her make-up? Yea, we would tease her about how done up she always got and tease her about her boyfriends and what she was going to do that night.
You knew it was important to tell OSBI everything? Yes. But you didn’t? I was nervous and I forgot.
You knew about the animosity between the Briggs and the Smiths? Yes.
Sometimes Raye Dawn would bring Kelsey to work? Yes. She seemed very loving? Yes. Sometimes she brought Michael Porter’s kids to work? I never saw them.
So the day Miste Smith brought Kelsey in with a sprained ankle, were you there? Yes. So Raye Dawn was at work that day, not at the zoo? Yes, I remember hollering at her. You knew Miste brought her into work? I recognized Kelsey. Raye Dawn asked me if she could take her to the doctor? Yes, and I clocked her out.

Did you see any of the bruises? I saw some bruises on her arms and legs. But she always had an explanation.

Knowing OSBI was talking to you about the abuse and murder of Kelsey you did not ever tell OSBI? You told OSBI Raye Dawn told you Kathie was accusing her of beating Kelsey with a hairbrush, so brush was on your mind?

And how do you know Raye Dawn didn’t question Kelsey further about why Mike was mean? I asked her the next day about it. But you don’t know what happened at that house? No, I guess not.

How long is a person supposed to cry when their child has been murdered? I don’t know. I would have to be sedated. I would be devastated.

Your testimony is different today than it was with the OSBI? Yes, it’s hard to remember all of the details.

You knew your OSBI statement was different when you came to talk to me? Just talking about it jogged my memory. How long did you talk with the OSBI? 30-40 minutes. You told the OSBI you teased her about her makeup? Yea, she always came in all fixed up? Does she look the same today as she normally does? No.

NOTES: 

1. She wanted Mike to vent to her and was worried about him having a bad day?

2. The man who murdered her grandchild was misled? What?

3. I've yet to see an instance where she gave Raye Dawn a benefit of the doubt since the custody battle began.

4. At what point during the custody hearing would Raye Dawn have made a statement about coaching children? Raye Dawn was never accused of coaching and she never accused anyone of coaching.

5. If anyone did any coaching, to me, it was Kathie. After a visit with Kathie, Kelsey told Raye Dawn, "Daddy Mike hurt my head." Could Kathie had coached her to say , "Daddy Mike hurt my legs" and Kelsey, being two, got the body parts mixed up?

6. The red flags started going up when Kathie told Debbie Hammons that she was getting ready to start a custody battle for Kelsey. Kathie was looking for yellow flags she could turn red.

7. All they could do is "figure out what went wrong and make HER pay." Interesting! What about making the man accused of murder pay?

8. She believes Raye Dawn and Gayla are evil. It's never about Raye Dawn. She always throws Gayla in there too. Why? After Raye Dawn's trial Kathie's supporters circulated letters throughout Gayla's neighborhood that tried to pin Kelsey's death on Gayla, saying Gayla "should have know." She also included "occurrences" that happened when Raye Dawn's dad was dying of cancer and tried to make it sound like Gayla had neglected to care for her dying husband.

9. The innocent people that I've seen that have paid a price have been good people who had nothing to do with Kelsey's death. How about focusing on the murderer for a moment or two?

10. I'm clueless about how Raye Dawn ruined lives because she "hated our (Briggs) family." The only ones I've seen on a mission to destroy for the past two plus years has been the Briggs.

11. Lance has had five stays in rehab that I know of to date. How many times has Raye Dawn gone to rehab? None!

12. If he didn't want her, why was he breaking into her house and stalking her?

13. Again, updating him on her progress with Smothermon.

14. Why did Kathie keep such close tabs on who was at whose home and the times, etc? Kathie did stalk Raye Dawn and her family. That's obvious.

15. Of course the Smiths wanted the bash board gone. I'll post some of the posts I have from there when all the emails are posted. The things said against Raye Dawn and her family on that board were vile and disgusting. Sadly, most of the things said have now been repeated and thought of as fact when they were rumors started by a family conspiring with the man who murdered their precious family member and the murderer himself.

16. "If they don't put the little hussy in jail soon..." Here we see right into Kathie's heart. Kathie HATES Raye Dawn. This couldn't be more clear.

NOTES: 

1. Mike Porter repeated over and over again how he wanted Raye Dawn charged with murder. There was no possible way, physically, that Kelsey could have sustained the injuries she did and lived for the amount of time from the time Raye Dawn left until the EMT showed up and Kelsey was just then turning blue. It's not possible. It wasn't even discussed at Raye Dawn's trial because the DA would have looked like an idiot. Mike's desperation should have given Kathie a clue.

2. I'm not sure if Raye Dawn ever said she'd own Mike's company, but if a man murdered my child I'd take everything he owned as well.

3. Why would they think Mike had anything to take? His house was foreclosed, his truck was repossessed, and he never even gave Raye Dawn money for a hamburger!

4. The pot is calling the kettle black. Mike Porter displays all the signs of a sociopath!

5. Again, why would Kathie listen to anything this man had to say?

6. Mike Porter stayed in that home after Kelsey's death, not Raye Dawn. If there was a shred of evidence there to prove Raye Dawn did anything, you can't tell me that Mike wouldn't have found it and taken it.

7. His word was damaged because he refused a lie detector test.

8. He's getting her ready for his "flood of tears." He put on a good show at the hospital the night of Kelsey's death, he was gearing up for another Oscar award winning performance.

9. He had to throw in the "I did not kill Kelsey" before he admitted his responsibility and regret.

10. Yes, Mike, we all know Kelsey died in your arms. Raye Dawn went to your daughter's school and picked her up safely and delivered her home to you while you murdered Kelsey. How does that make you feel?

11. What did he do to save her? He took the time to get a pull up out of the linen closet in the bathroom and put it on her when he could have been doing CPR. If he had started CPR, he would have never stopped. That doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out!

12. Duh!!! Mike was the one home with Kelsey. He's the only one who could have killed her. Of course EVERYONE was saying he took her life!

13. Mike Porter was parent of the year huh? Why did Raye Dawn have to admonish him for saying in front of Whitney that he hoped their baby was a boy because Porter women are ugly? Why would Whitney tell her school counselor days after Kelsey's death that Mike Porter was mean to Kelsey when Raye Dawn wasn't home? Why would Whitney on that same day tell her school counselor that Mike Porter hit Kelsey's head against a brick wall when Raye Dawn wasn't home? Great father!!

14. Why the hell would Kathie not record their meeting? Mike Porter violated his bond, and Kathie obstructed justice. I would want a recording of every conversation I had with a man I knew was a murderer!

15. She said if notes bothered him she wouldn't even take them? Why Kathie? Why?

16. Give a murderer directions to your single daughter's apartment. Brilliant idea!!!

17. Again, worry about the comfort of the man who murdered your grandchild.

18. Notice Kathie's specific details of who was there, who was where, what they were doing, etc. Can anyone say stalker??

19. This is the first I've heard of Raye Dawn being "unstable." That was never mentioned in court.

20. A woman whose child was being taken away and she apparently had the entire town against her because of the hatred from the Briggs couldn't hold onto her thought process while writing an email to DHS while she's fighting for her daughter couldn't focus. That means she's crazy why?

21. Debbie Hammons played into their hands on the bash board. Hmm.... Maybe Debbie was helping Raye Dawn with her defense? Again, the Briggs were trying to prevent anything truthful from coming out.

22. Kathie said, "I wish I wasn't addicted to that stupid bash board." The same "bashboard" where they stated Mike Porter was hot, Mike should marry one of Lance's sisters, and they bashed Raye Dawn and her entire family.

23. Kathie and Mike spent hours on there discussing this case. Sadly, the DA never put a stop to it.

Since Mike Porter's bond said he had to be supervised while with Whitney, yet these emails prove he was putting her to bed so she was spending nights with him, he had plenty of time to start coaching her.

14. If Raye Dawn had slapped Mike he would have filed domestic abuse charges against her, right?

15. The only thing Whitney was sure to tell was how mean Mike was to Kelsey when Raye Dawn wasn't home and how Mike hurt Kelsey. Hmm...who are we to believe? The man who murdered and sexually assaulted Kelsey or an innocent child?

17. He's playing on Kathie's emotions now. He wants to drill it in her head that Raye Dawn is a murderer so he will go free. The strategy of a master manipulator and puppeteer. I wonder if he's now calling the Briggs "dim" like he did the daycare worker. Mike obviously thinks he can manipulate them all! And it worked! Whose laughing now? How does that make you feel Kathie? It scared "the hell out of" him to go to jail and face the death penalty. That's it! He used you and he's still using you since you're still protecting him.

NOTES: 

1. "I don't have a problem with picking you up. It is not like I feel unsafe." What the hell??? At that time, Kathie knew that Mike Porter murdered her grandchild. Shirica said they used these emails to get into the "mind of the murderer" yet Kathie is offering to give him a ride and says she feels safe with him? What? You've got to be kidding me!! This is absolutely uncalled for! If you're trying to lure out a murderer and put him in jail you 1) record everything, 2) don't share personal information or information about an ongoing investigation, 3) don't give him the address to your single daughter's apartment, 4) Don't OFFER TO PICK THE MAN UP!!! What the hell was Kathie thinking?

2. "I don't bite, that was Kelsey's trademark." What? The Briggs put the fact that "Kelsey liked to bite" in her obituary. The only ones Kelsey bit were the Briggs! Is it just me or is this correspondence starting to sound flirtatious? It makes me sick to my stomach!

3. She didn't get approval from her husband or Kelsey's father before making arrangements to meet the man who murdered Kelsey and she didn't care what they thought? What?

4. Why have compassion for him?

5. Smith's tactics? What part of Mike Porter murdering Kelsey is a "Smith tactic"?

6. Is she saying Gayla took advantage of Mike because of his age? What the hell? Mike was the one taking full advantage? Kathie can claim she didn't hate Gayla before all this started all she wants, but why did she never try to work with Gayla for the sake of their mutual grandchild and why is it Gayla is one of the first ones Kathie mentions always?

7. How is it the Smiths think they're beyond accountability when you're talking to the man who murdered your grandchild? I just don't get it Kathie!!

8. She's keeping track of how often they go to Meeker? Stalker! Kathie kept Mike up-to-date on what was happening with the investigation. Mike didn't need a defense lawyer, he had Kathie.
